those tiny things

A friend is one who knows who you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still gently allows you to grow.

Why thank you. :) Added, though you may discover I'm a lot of hot air hidden behind letters. ^.~

Hi, I saw your recent posts in 100_Words and wanted to say hello. We share some common interests; would you like to be friends? And are you alright?

Hi there. I'm always up for new friends, but I tend to update a lot. :) And yes, I'm as fine as is typically me. Sometimes, I write a lot and sometimes I don't. :) You are welcome to peek around, if you wish.

Thanks! I added you back. I update a lot as well, so I'm glad to run into someone else who does. It's great reading about someone's life. I much prefer that to something as vapid as sitting in front of the TV for hours. I look forward to checking out your journal and photographs. And the "are you alright," was concerning the 100_Words entries. It sounded like you just had a horrible relationship thing happen and I was a bit worried for you.

Nope. I'm quite happy with my relationship (actually, rather effusively happy, as you'll see when you begin reading). When I do write, I tend to write dark and/or negative, and typically have some sarcasm or dark humor in there that people who know me pick up on. Thank you for your concern. :)

:) You're welcome.

I change this fairly often, when it strikes my fancy. Which is quite often, I imagine. :)

I don't mind at all. :) Always nice to have a new friend.
I have two snakes. :P

Can I ask, do snakes get friendly like other animals? I live in NZ and there are no snakes here (apart from at the zoo) so I have to say I am quite intruiged.

I would say 'appreciative' more than 'friendly' I guess. My corn snake will wrap around my neck and squeeze me when she's content (typically after fresh water or food). When they aren't content they are a bit testy. The corn rattles her tail like a rattle snake when she's not 'appreciative' and instead is annoyed or hungry or scared. :)

They aren't like our cats, that's for certain. They have their quirks, though. Even though the python bites (she's aggressive due to prior owner's neglect) I still enjoy her (grudgingly) and take good care of her. One day, I hope she's over the biting thing. :)

Personally I'm kind of surprised they don't eat your cats! Or in the case of the python, squeeze the bejeezus out them...

It's so sad when animals are mistreated, you are very kind in looking after a biting snake!!!

The snakes stay in tanks unless they are out to be fed or so their tank can be cleaned. We don't let them wander about or they would be in trouble. :P
